Commonwealth Housing Group (CHG) is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya that supports marginalised families living in deplorable conditions secure safe and decent homes and build self-sustaining communities.

Currently, CHG’s main project is helping the 180 individuals who make the 26 Mwamko families fulfil their dream of having a home outside the Korogocho Slums, a 1.5 square kilometre piece of land that is home to about 200,000 people.

WE IDENTIFY

We identify community-led housing initiatives founded by marginalized families who aspire to build safer, healthier homes and communities.

WE PARTNER

We come on board as development partners and rope in like-minded organizations and individuals to boost the efforts of the marginalized families.

WE EMPOWER

We equip the families with income-generating and employability skills that they can apply to sustain themselves after the relocation.
