Welcome to CHG

Restoring Dignity. Transforming Lives.

Commonwealth Housing Group (CHG) is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya that supports marginalised families living in deplorable conditions secure safe and decent homes and build self-sustaining communities.

Currently, CHG’s main project is helping the 180 individuals who make the 25 Mwamko families fulfil their dream of having a home outside the Korogocho Slums, a 1.5 square kilometre piece of land that is home to about 200,000 people.

Project Progress

CHG made great strides in the year 2019  and 2021, with remarkable progress achieved both in terms of local fundraising and project implementation at the project site

We identify community-led housing initiatives founded by marginalized families who aspire to build safer, healthier homes and communities.

We come on board as development partners and rope in like-minded organizations and individuals to boost the efforts of the marginalized families.

We equip the families with income-generating and employability skills that they can apply to sustain themselves after the relocation.

Our Impact in Numbers
